GREETINGS FROM THE MUSIC DIRECTOR!

As you think about your fall schedule and all the options out there to fill it with, consider the following top 10 reasons why you should join choir at Trinity:

1It's fun! Spend time with friends learning great music, and cracking a couple jokes now and then. (just ask a current member if we have any fun...)

2.  It's practical! If you're running out of clean clothes, the robes will save on laundry.

3.  It's huge! More than 42 million people sing in choirs across the country; you can join this amazing throng!

4.  L'amour! Many singers date or even marry people they meet in choir; music is the food of love, after all!

5.  Start the journey to stardom! Many superstars like Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake got their start singing in the church choir!

6.  BE LOUD! How often do you hear, 'be quiet' or 'turn that down'? In choir you are encouraged to make noise!

7.  No equipment!  There are no heavy instruments or gym bags to schlep to each rehearsal, just bring your beautiful voice!

8.  Get fit! Singing is not only heart-healthy but also soul-healthy. There are no membership fees to join and it's a lot better on the knees than jogging.

And especially for the MEN!

9.  It's challenging! Do you feel like you've already accomplished it all, there are no challenges left in life? Come on down to choir rehearsal and try staying on pitch!

10.  It's cheap! Choir is one of few activities for men that does not involve electronics equipment or expensive power tools, it's great for your budget!

Join us this fall as we start another great choir season at Trinity! If you have any questions, please find me or email me at choirstlcsm@sbcglobal.net.

Choir rehearsals will begin in early September, day and time to be determined. I look forward to seeing you there!

The Carillon Ringers meet Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

If you are interested in playing handbells let me know! I am looking for ringers of all ages, but especially middle school and high school students to start a group for a couple performances throughout the year. Playing handbells is a great way to participate at your church. It is quick to learn, very fun, and at the same time, can be quite a challenge! Are you up to it?

Cantate Domino!

Sing (and ring) to the Lord!
