The Care For Creation initiative is Trinity's response to the issue of environmental stewardship.  The CFC group researches concerns such as global warming, conservation and recycling, and brings information and suggestions to the congregation.  Congregation members are urged to participate in projects that benefit the church, their own homes, or the community.

The CFC group follows the lead of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America in promoting environmental practices in Worship, Education, Building and Grounds, Home and Work, and Political Advocacy.

TRINITY RECYCLES!

As you enter the front doors, you will see 2 blue recycling bins.  This is Trinity’s new recycling center.  Each bin will be designated for the following items:  1) batteries and cell phones and 2) tennis shoes.

Batteries and Cell Phones
Batteries that can be recycled are rechargeable batteries, watch, calculator, and cell phone batteries.  Regular alkaline batteries are not recyclable and should be placed in your regular garbage.

Cell phones can be recycled.

Tennis Shoes
Any old tennis shoes (that are hiding in your closet and taking up valuable storage space) can be placed in this bin.  The shoes will be recycled through the Nike recycle program.

Currently South Milwaukee and Oak Creek do not recycle these  items as part of the curb recycling program.  Please remember to bring these to church and drop them off in the blue bins.  This is an easy way to help the environment!
