Outreach Ministry Team

Purpose:  To develop programs and activities which will foster spiritual growth of the congregational membership and to empower them to share their faith within the congregation as well as actively extending this spiritual growth to the community beyond this congregation.

What does that mean?
Currently we are developing ways to bring people into Trinity Lutheran Church of South Milwaukee.  So far we have developed a brochure which shares information about Trinity; service hours, programs and some of the Ministry Teams.  We have sent the brochure to people who have recently bought houses in South Milwaukee

Then what?
We are now working on ways to meet with visitors to make their time with us more personal and to invite them back.

Do you go door to door to ask people to come to church?
Our role is to develop programs.  Once those are set up all members of the congregation will be given opportunities to help spread the Gospel.  Going door-to-door has not been considered, yet.

Who is in-charge?
It's a team, so while one person may take notes we all work together on the programs and to enjoy our time together.

What is in it for me?
You join with others to help spread the Gospel and contribute to the health and well being of the church.

Sounds like a lot of work.
When you join a team a little work, and fun, goes a long way.  We meet once a month for about an hour and our team assignments might take another hour a month.
