Vacation Bible School

VBS successfully concluded on August 5th with several favorable compliments received from both participants and parents and as many as 63 kids participating. With a theme of "Hometown Nazareth:  Where Jesus Was a Kid", participants experienced a variety of music, crafts, food snacks, and games in various centers as well as bible stories presented by Pastor Bill. Thanks to all those who planned, participated, contributed to, and staffed this week-long event. We also would like to thank all the parents and children who donated school supplies for Human Concerns as part of VBS. They were much appreciated.

Sunday School Staff Orientation

As we now begin preparing for Sunday School, we have filled all of our team teacher openings, which will be announced next month. This year we again expect to combine a few grades (4th and 5th, 7th and 8th, and High School 9th through 12th) where the expected enrollments permit us to do so. We have scheduled a Teacher Orientation Meeting for August 30th at 6:30 PM for all teachers, helpers, and substitutes. It has proven very helpful in reuniting our volunteers as well as introducing our Sunday School Program to newcomers.

Rally Day - September 11th 

Rally Day, September 11th is the start of  the Sunday School year. Classes for 3 Year Olds through High School begin that day from 9:15  to 10:15 AM and conclude May 20^th, the Sunday before Memorial Day in 2012. Pastor Bill's Adult Bible Study group also meet during the same time period in Room 109-110 beginning September 18th.
